Peer Review Assignment

You will be randomly assigned to one peer to provide peer feedback on their code, tables and graphs. There is a template for filling in here.

How to do peer review:

  • Give thoughtful, constructive and considerate comments.
  • Be specific and concise.
  • Use the definitons in the template for ideas about criteria to evaluate and comment on.
  • Try to learn something new and point that out. Offer some praise.
  • If there is something you think needs improvement (nearly every project has these), offer suggestions on better approaches (in a kind way).

Grading for peer review:

All peer reviews are weighted equally as a portion of the 14% that peer review is worth in the course. Each review is scored out of 2 points.

(0 points) Review wasn’t done.

(1 point) Review needs work. It is generic and cannot be easily tied to the project being evaluated.

(2 points) Review is well thought out, offers a summary of the item being reviewed, offers both praise and kind criticism. For criticism, provides actual ideas of how to improve it or address the criticism.
