Am I allowed to register in …?

Should I register in …?

Preference for registering in this course is giving to students in graduate programs in the Colorado School of Public Health. But, the course is open and useful for any graduate student with some statistics experience who is interested in struggling with how to actually do statistical analysis.

Note, this year we will be introducing tools for reproducible research which may require some command line programming. This may be an adjustment for some. Don’t worry we will help you out.

Do I need a computer?

YES. You must have access to a computer (preferably your own with infinite access). We encourage those with laptops to bring them to class.

Where do I get a SAS license?

Information for Obtaining SAS License

e-mail: sitelic@Colorado.EDU

    **** SAS Licenses ****

New SAS licenses for the licensing year are now available to faculty and students and staff of CU, for ~$60 per license. An office/laptop pair of computers for a single user are covered by a single license.

Let me know how many of these licenses you need, and which Speedtype to charge.

If you don’t already have SAS installed on a computer from last year, you can download the SAS 9.4 installation materials from

    http://sitelic.colorado.edu/sas/download/

using (if necessary) user= ucd password= Twd44VV

If downloading these huge ZIP files is a problem, for $20 you can order a USB flash drive with the entire SAS 9.4 installation package, to be mailed to you.

If not paying by departmental account (Speedtype), you can instead pay by check, as per http://sitelic.colorado.edu/checks/. It is not possible to take payment by cash or credit card.
